The television documentary “On the trails of the glaciers” Mission to Caucasus

A new documentary has been produced by SD Cinematografica, an independent production specialized in high quality documentaries, during the second expedition of the project “On the trails of the Glaciers”, which took place in the Georgian region of Caucasus during summer 2011. The famous director Marco Preti directed the documentary.

The second photographic-scientific expedition of the project “On the Trails of the Glaciers” took place in the Georgian mountain region of Caucasus from July 28th to September 1st , 2012.

Convetion at the Italian Geographic Convention

“1909 – 2009: One Hundred Years of glaciology and photography in Karakorum. Problems and results of an age-old symbiosis” is the title of the conference that took place on October 15th at the prestigious location of the Italian Geographic Society. The conference was organized by Macromicro association in collaboration with the Italian Geographic Society and with the contribution of Enel Green Power, the Enel company dedicated to the development and management of renewable sources in Italy and around the world.

The Karakorum photographic exhibition

The photographic exhibition “On the Trails of the Glaciers; !909-2009: 100 years of climatic changes on the Karakorum glaciers” has been held from Feb 24th to Apr 1st 2010 in a prestigious institutional venue such as Santa Rita Hall, at very short distance from Venice square.

The television documentary “On the trails of the glaciers” Mission to Karakorum

The documentary was shot during the first expedition of the project “On the Trails of the Glaciers”, headed to Karakoram in the summer of 2009. The documentary created by the SD Cinematografica production (www.sdcinematografica.it) by Roberto Dall’Angelo, and directed by Paolo Aralla and Massimiliano Sbrolla, includes several inedited interviews with researchers of the scientific committee of the project.
